The primary responsibility of the role is to coordinate /manage the work associated with the Solar Photovoltaic Projects , of all stages and phases starting from the initiation stage till the final handover . This will typically entail taking a leading role in projects design , procurement processes , as well as managing contracts technically and commercially during the delivery phase if needed may be .
The role is also expected to include broader project development and management responsibilities and advisory input on certain projects and involve working directly with the company &rsquo ;s clients , and other external stakeholders .
The Individual
The Project Engineer will be responsible for the following :
&bull ; Managing day -to -day activities , including :
o Site visits
o Preparing tender documentation .
o Coordinating technical due diligence activities .
o Assessing manufacturers &rsquo ; proposals in terms of scope of services offered , price and technical content .
&bull ; Projects and Site supervision during and prior construction phase
&bull ; Engaging and managing specialist consultants as required to support company and client projects .
&bull ; Liaising with contractors to ensure appropriate standards of health , safety , environment and quality performance are in -built to the contract and achieved throughout the contract execution phase .
&bull ; Liaising with system components manufacturer to obtain information required by in -house and external designers .

&bull ; Solar Photovoltaic Projects design and construction .
&bull ; Solar PV technologies and supply chain market conditions .
&bull ; Solar PV contract development and management .
&bull ; Project management methodologies .
Skills
&bull ; Advanced technical skills in solar projects design .
&bull ; Strong project management skills .
&bull ; Strong communication skills including report writing , presentation and the ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with contractors and consultants .
&bull ; The ability to manage own workload and meet demanding timescales on a number of potentially simultaneous projects .
&bull ; The ability to work as a member of a team and to react positively to the varying challenges of development , construction and operational projects .
&bull ; Ability to design projects using P Vsyst , other software is a plus .
&bull ; MS project and /or Primavera is a must .
Experience
&bull ; Solar PV Systems design .
&bull ; Experience of large scale solar projects construction .
&bull ; Experience of leading communications with diversified stakeholders .
&bull ; Project coordination experience .
Qualifications
&bull ; A degree in electrical engineering , or equivalent .
&bull ; 2-3 years of experience
